About this portfolio and Who I am
Hello I'm Mark Sensoz, welcome to my music portfolio, I am an aspiring Sound Engineer with a dream of one day working within the music industry. throughout the course of the year I have created and worked on a multitude of projects during my time within New College Lanarkshire.
This portfolio is a reflection of my dedication to sound production and the people that have helped me achieve a higher standard of work during the academic year. It highlights the skills and creativity learned and developed throughout my HNC Sound Production course, highlighting various Projects I've created.

The Sopranos
The Sopranos Bakery Scene post production Project
I created and mixed the soundstage for my AFM using Ableton and displays my ability to creatively think and edit sounds for Cinema and having the know how to create and learn other formats besides Music. It shows my attentive ear for sound design and being able to utilise different royalty free sound effect libraries creatively in order to align to whatever's being shown on the viewers screen whilst also showcasing my abilities to effectively map out the sound scape.

Daft Punk - Around The World
This artefact was made within Ableton Live during my independent study hours outside of college, It helps showcase my understanding of Ableton's workflow and production techniques I had learned within the DAW & Synthesis unit. This artefact allowed me to demonstrate my mixing skills, recreations of synths and composing using MIDI. It helped strengthen my technical skill and my confidence with using other DAW's.
Recording & Mixing
The Cranberries - Zombie
During the production and recording of the cranberries track zombie, for my Recording & Mixing class I used multiple techniques that were new to me - I had to use an analogue desk, when I have only worked with digital before
tracking with multiple microphones and having to measure the distance between them for phase coherence, Additionally I booked out Studio One for this Recording Session, For my mix I used panning, compression, EQ, and distortion - I used the original track and researched producers within the same genre as a guidance for the mix reference, although I made creative changes that I believe will help to make me stand out and find a unique sound as a Studio Engineer, as I move forward into the industry
